Updated: May 4, 2020
The last restaurant I dined at before this COVID-19 lockdown started was at the Kitchen Counter of TāTā Eatery at Tayēr + Elementary on the 19th March 2020, the day before Boris announced the mandatory closure of all restaurants and bars. Even on the 20th March on the evening of the announcement I was frantically trying to find at least one restaurant open in my local area but to no avail. Dining out had come to a halt! Thankfully this is only temporary.

FoodBox is brought to you by two street food caterers that want to make a difference. They select the best of the bunch and bring them together so they can deliver fresh local produce right to your door. FoodBox delivers every Wednesday and Friday across London.

La Tua Pasta was created in London in 2006 by Francesco and Caroline Boggian. Today La Tua Pasta supplies many Michelin Starred restaurants including the Jason Atherton's restaurants.

Delivery: Dependent on order
IOLondon Offer: 10% off for IOLondon members with discount code SDCHOME10.
For those of you who want to go that extra mile to create that aesthetically beautiful dining table to rival those of Michelin Starred restaurants, GoodFellows at Home is your one-stop-shop. They supply some of the best chefs with their kitchen utensils and tableware and you can order the exact same for your home. My favourite feature on the website is that you can also find out the kitchen utensils and tableware used by a particular chef, so you can design your dinner table to be identical to that of your favourite chef. They supply a number of my favourite chefs including Jason Atherton, Sven-Hanson Britt and Adam Handling to name a few.
Tableware from Michelin Starred Restaurants available from GoodFellows at Home
Product: Beautifully crafted coolers that keep your wine perfectly chilled with only 5 ice cubes and no drips. Available in several colours.
Delivery: Dependent on order
IOLondon Offer: 20% off for IOLondon members with discount code iolondonVIP20.
These beautiful wine coolers will look stunning on your dining table. Used by restaurants as they only need 5 ice cubes to keep your drink of choice cool with no drips so you can pour wine without slippery wet hands. Ice will be one thing you are not short of during this lockdown.
Delivery from Michelin Starred Restaurants
If you are not the cooking type and prefer delivery I could unfortunately only find one company doing Michelin starred restaurant delivery.
Supper London: https://supper.london/#/home
Supper London has the highest number of Michelin starred restaurants on its delivery list, due to their guarantee of delivery food in the best conditions. Michelin restaurants such as Hakkasan, Yautcha and Benares (ex Michelin Star) are a few on the list. Benares is donating a meal to NHS workers for every order place. Hence if you are lucky enough to live in the delivery radius for these restaurants please continue to support these restaurants and the NHS staff.
Learn to cook from top chefs
Now with all this extra free time there was never been a better time to improve your cooking skills.
Jason Atherton, Adam Handling and Massimo Bottura are posting regular videos on Instagram from their kitchens at home where they are demonstrating how to cook a variety of dishes. Best of all these are absolutely free. So if you are not already I recommend following your favourite chef on Instagram to learn to cook for the best.
Masterclass.com also has a promotion on at the moment of buy one get one free. There you can find cooking classes from chefs with 3 Michelin starred restaurants such as Thomas Keller, Gordon Ramsay and Massimo Bottura. Award-wining pastry chef Dominque Ansel also has a pastry class on there.
Please share any other companies IOLondon should support during this time of crisis
Hopefully, that's a good starting list for you to start re-creating Michelin star dinners at home. If you have found any other great companies that you believe IOLondon foodies should know about please feel free to send us an email at email@example.com and we will share them with all members.
IOLondon Competition - £50 off next IOLondon event
To enter, 1)follow @insideoutsidelondon on Facebook or Instagram and 2) share pictures of the dishes you are cooking at home during this lockdown that are as good as those served in Michelin Starred Restaurant on Instagram or Facebook and mention @insideoutsidelondon in the post.

I'm personally looking forward to seeing all those amazing food pics.
Until we see each other around a dining table again, please stay inside and keep safe.
