About The Event
Following its success in 2019, Marylebone Food Festival returns from 21 to 26 April with a packed and electric line-up.
Launching the festival on Tuesday 21 April is a dinner party with a difference, where London's best restaurants and food experts take turns serving a course each, accompanied by wine, taking guests on a gastronomic journey through Marylebone in the striking, Georgian Grade II listed St Mary’s Church. The line-up includes Michelin star restaurant Roganic, renowned cook Ravinder Bhogal's Jikoni, TV chef Giancarlo Caldesi's Caldesi in Marylebone as well as Ooty, Lurra, Orrery and famous cheese shop and cafe, La Fromagerie.
Host, Jay Rayner and his jazz band, The Jay Rayner Quartet will entertain guests with drinks and canapés before the guests sit down for eight courses, each cooked by one of Marylebone’s talented chefs. Every course will be matched with a different wine and Jay will lead a 'money can't buy' auction featuring lots such as his coveted companion review slot.
All proceeds from the festival launch dinner as well as £1 from bookings at opting in, participating restaurants throughout the festival will go to charity The Food Chain, a London charity that delivers meals and groceries, offers cookery and nutrition classes and communal eating opportunities to people living with HIV and their dependants.
